Below are some of the suggested stages.
Departure at 9 a.m. – Your guide will meet you at your accommodation and drive you to Mont-Saint-Michel, via the magnificent Emerald Coast. Along the way, you’ll discover the hidden stories and forbidden legends of this exceptional site.
Arrival at Mont-Saint-Michel – Around 10am, start of the guided tour. You’ll explore the abbey, church and monastery, while learning about the history of pilgrims and France through the centuries.
Tasting at Mère Poulard – After the tour, enjoy a typical lunch of Mère Poulard’s famous omelette, the Mont’s gastronomic emblem.
Visit Avranches – Head for Avranches to discover the medieval manuscripts created by the monks of Le Mont between the Middle Ages and the Revolution. You’ll also see the relic of Saint Aubert, founder of the Mont over 1300 years ago.
Chapelle Saint-Aubert – Depending on the tides, visit the oldest building on the Mont: Chapelle Saint-Aubert, built around 711 and visible at low tide.
Villedieu-les-Poêles bell foundry – End the day with a visit to a unique workshop, perpetuating the medieval art of bell making. Discover the design stages, and perhaps even witness a live casting.
Return to your pick-up point – Return between 6 and 7 pm, after a day rich in discovery and history.
